Spring Paddlefest with Lodi Boathouse
What is Paddlefest you say? Picture a lake or riverside beach full of various makes and models of kayaks there for you to try out. Imagine a chance to paddle every design in the Eddyline quiver, back-to-back, to compare feel and handling in order to decide which is right for you.
Paddlefest is an event that happens at kayak shops across the country every spring which offers the opportunity to test drive kayaks and choose the one that’s right for you. After a long cold winter, it’s a season kick-off celebration of the sport of kayaking. The event is meant to encourage paddlers to get a kayak early in the season to have access to kayaking throughout the spring, summer, and fall. For most kayak shops it includes tons of demo opportunities for top industry brands and socializing with other kayakers in the region. Bonus: Meeting industry reps, shop owners and picking up tips and tricks from the pros!
Abigail Christensen, owner/operator at Lodi Boathouse on Lodi Lake just north of Stockton, is hosting their 8th annual PaddleFest, on this Saturday, April 15th, 2023, 10-3PM. Formerly known as Headwaters Kayaks, Lodi Boathouse has a history of hosting one of the best Paddlefests in the west. In addition to demoing Eddyline’s entire fleet of boats with infamous industry reps like Dan Arbuckle (@headwaterskayak), youtube influencer, this year’s Lodi Paddlefest will include live music, a chance to see boats and products new for the 2023 season and a great environment to meet new paddling friends!
