The Carbonlite Repair Kit is recommended for the majority of basic repair projects and makes an excellent field repair kit for long trips. While specifically created to repair kayaks made of Carbonlite 2000, this kit is also suitable for repairing many other thermoformed kayaks and ABS-based products like rooftop cargo boxes. This kit is suitable to repair small damages and cracks up to 4". The kit includes:
Devcon 25mL Plastic Welder (cream colored)
1' of 3"-wide fiberglass cloth tape
2 spreading sticks
4.5" x 5.5" pieces each of 220, 400, 800, and 1200-grit sandpaper
1 pair of latex gloves
1 each of Novus #1, #2, and #3 pillow packs
2 alcohol prep pads
The adhesive has a 6-month shelf life if stored in a cool place.
